The ASLA Iowa Chapter to proud to be partnering with Iowa State University Dept. of Landscape Architecture to bring you our spring conference, "Social Entrepreneurship & Landscape Architecture." The conference will be on March 25th, at Iowa State University. The day will include numerous panelists speaking about Social Entrepreneurship.

The daytime program will culminate with Chad Pregracke, founder of Living Lands and Waters and CNN's Hero of the Year in 2013. As founder of America's only "industrial strength" river clean-up organization, Chad tells a compelling, uplifting, and inspiring story about growing up on the river and how his river experiences led to his unique vision to clean up the Mississippi River.

The evening will conclude with the P.H. Elwood Lecture presented by Kimberly Garza, founder and principal of ATLAS Lab Inc. in California. Garza, a landscape architect, will discuss the role of tactical urbanism as a tool to engage communities and empower designers to take quick action creating positive change in the world. Garza’s work has been internationally recognized, published and exhibited the International Garden Festival in Quebec, Canada. She was recently named a “40 Under 40 Urban Innovator” by Next City and a “40 Under 40 Honoree” by the Sacramento Business Journal.

We hope to see you there!
